Dear all,

after the great impression that iGreekHolidays got in Greek iPhone community and since my new iPhone App (NATO Armies – Ranks & Insignia) is already for Apple review, I decided to update the application with more feature and data.

The update, that is estimated to be sent for review in about 2 weeks, will include the following updates:

1) For each view, there will be a “brother” view that will display information for the next feast/name day/”movable” feast and the days remaining to this feast.

2) Specifically for “National Holidays View”, there will be a filter for the “three-day holidays”

3) Additional view for the “world days” such as “World AIDS Day” ans so on

4) Ability to filter the scroll views on your own by selecting feasts to display (requested by sigalakos)

News about the progress of the update will be posted constantly.

By the way, do not forget my other iPhone App, iBlahBlah.

Last night I sent Apple my third iPhone App for review. The App with name “NATO Armies (Ranks & Insignia) is a “reference” application for displaying information about the armies of the 28 NATO member countries as well as information about the ranks and insignia images for them.

Information about armies includes military name (both in english and local language), foundation year and headquarters. Moreover, user can navigate in possible military branches that exist within the country, such as army, air forces or navy. Emblems, roundels, (war) flags, ensigns and jacks are displayed in the military branch view.

While in the Ranks & Insignia View, the user can navigate in a 2D array where rows are countries and columns are the rank levels. Tap to left or right to change level or tap to top or bottom to change country. In this way, navigation within ranks and countries can be done in a snap.

App comes with settings (mainly for Ranks & Insignia view). The use can select countries to display ranks for.

Update is coming shortly, in order to display ranks & insignia for air force and navy branches, as well.

More information and screenshots will be available after Apple’s review.
